The Responsible Grownup Way

The Responsible Grownup Way

Ridding Gov’t of Our Adolescent and Corrupt Politicians

Something that is most un-common today is common sense. Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines common sense as ‘sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts.’ As Rush Limbaugh would state ‘for the folks in Rio Linda, California,’ that means that you can’t foolishly lie to yourself and others to achieve an outcome or answer you desire regardless of the law and facts forever.

That being the case, makes it pretty obvious that elected officials we entrust to act like grownups and do right by us today are actually acting like adolescents in a candy store that we are ignoring. Whose fault is it really that they are getting away with their indiscretions? It is our fault, of course! For we are irresponsibly looking the other way or not acting like grownups ourselves and mindlessly assume that the baby sitter is doing what we expect.

Most stridently put, responsible grownups with common sense understand the definition of insanity and would not continue doing exactly the same kind of stuff repeatedly expecting different outcomes: i.e. What has been accomplished by the Establishment’s (Council on Foreign Relations’ (CFR) and UN’s) minions, those elected officials violating our trust and their sacred oaths to the Constitution, who march lockstep with the CFR/UN’s dictates and the monies provided by corrupt lobbyists and crony capitalists is that so many overlapping agencies, bureaus, laws, regulations, taxes, fines, market unbalancing subsidy programs, unnecessary foreign aid, countless unnecessary do-good programs, and market manipulations through the fed have been foisted upon us that our once vibrant republic is being intentionally strangled to death. Socialism doesn’t work and balance sheets must be balanced. National and state Constitutions sworn to must be upheld. And they most certainly are not! Violations to our trust run rampant.

THE ERADICATING OF THE ‘UNITED STATES’ OF AMERICA IS AT HAND

I give you that most of our elected officials are the kids in the candy store, not performing like responsible grownups at all, but just acting. Self-discipline and true patriotism is sorely missing. They act and might actually believe like they are there to do things for others with complete and utter largess to spend for reasons they endlessly justify to right wrongs, help the needy, fix things they perceive need fixing, ‘bring home the bacon’ and of course do what others such as LOBBYI$T$ convince them of without any personal research or introspection. They buy into the mindset that it is their jobs to incessantly write new rules, regulations, amendments and laws with total abandonment to constitutionality or conscience, never mind that our central government has limited, enumerated powers. They also spend way too much time to even most of their time working toward re-election. There are very few responsible, constitutionally minded grownups in elected office today actually meeting the letter of their Constitutional oaths.

Our one BIG thing in America has been our FREEDOM. True freedom is pure capitalism. Capitalism is the freedom to win at starting a business or investment and cannot and must not provide ‘subsidized’ guarantees for those who attain less. Failure is a lesson learned well and one moves on, strengthened from the experience. One can strive to achieve all he wants or adjust to what levels of accomplishment he attains. Businesses creating commerce, accountably making a profit providing jobs are the root sources of all governments’ funding. A growing economy that creates more tax paying employees will bring in more revenue than higher tax rates and new taxes which conversely hurt us.

America’s businesses can compete with any other nation if we level the playing field by ridding ourselves of all these killing regulatory and taxing costs that other countries don’t have.

Also our freedoms are being stolen by the blatant bullying by the federal government’s unconstitutional drive to control us by taking over our lands here in the west and our water resources throughout America.

And lastly, Americans don’t need our education system, medical systems and all other aspects of our lives run by the federal government. As The John Birch Society states, “The central government was created by the states with strictly limited powers leaving the states to compete with one another to become the best state, the one with the least amount of taxation and controls, one where citizens would want to build a business and raise a family. That spirit of competition produced excellence as honest competition always does.”

We simply cannot survive this path toward absolute ruination much longer as a sovereign republic. It has been quite a testament to how residual and resolute our system has remained in the face of all we have endured in recent years. However, this level of insanity can’t last. Believe it! As the Romans went, so will we, without drastic redress.

A SIMPLE, IMPORTANT TALE THAT UNDERSCORES: CONSTITUTIONAL OBLIGATION

Not Yours to Give’ is the legendary tale of U.S. Representative Colonel David Crockett’s happenstance meeting with his Tennessee constituent named Horatio Bunce who recounts how Mr. Bunce schooled Rep. Crockett on the proper use of the government money:

“The power of collecting and disbursing money at pleasure is the most dangerous power that can be entrusted to man, particularly under our system of collecting revenue by a tariff, which reaches every man in the country, no matter how poor he may be, and the poorer he is the more he pays in proportion to his means. What is worse, it presses upon him without his knowledge where the weight centers, for there is not a man in the United States who can ever guess how much he pays to the government. So you see, that while you are contributing to relieve one, you are drawing it from thousands who are even worse off than he. If you had the right to give anything, the amount was simply a matter of discretion with you, and you had as much right to give $20,000,000 as $20,000. If you have the right to give to one, you have the right to give to all; and, as the Constitution neither defines charity nor stipulates the amount, you are at liberty to give to any and everything which you may believe, or profess to believe, is a charity, and to any amount you may think proper. You will very easily perceive what wide door this would open for fraud and corruption and favoritism on the one hand, and for robbing the people on the other. No, Colonel, Congress has no right to give charity. Individual members may give as much of their own money as they please, but they have no right to touch a dollar of the public money for that purpose. If twice as many houses had been burned in this county as in Georgetown, neither you nor any other member of Congress would have thought of appropriating a dollar for our relief. There are about two hundred and forty members of Congress. If they had shown their sympathy for the sufferers by contributing each one week’s pay, it would have made over $13,000. There are plenty of wealthy men in and around Washington who could have given $20,000 without depriving themselves of even a luxury of life. The congressmen chose to keep their own money, which, if reports be true, some of them spend not very creditably; and the people about Washington, no doubt, applauded you for relieving them from the necessity of giving by giving what was not yours to giveThe people have delegated to Congress, by the Constitution, the power to do certain things. To do these, it is authorized to collect and pay moneys, and for nothing else. Everything beyond this is usurpation, and a violation of the Constitution.

“So you see, Colonel, you have violated the Constitution in what I consider a vital point. It is a precedent fraught with danger to the country, for when Congress once begins to stretch its power beyond the limits of the Constitution, there is no limit to it, and no security for the people.” – From the Life of Colonel David Crockett by Edward S. Ellis

Right now our blessed Republic is on the ropes and its very existence is overwhelmingly at threat, being attacked currently, from unlikely sources such as our own very sacred White House, Congress, and Supreme Court along with governmental bureaus and agencies as well as the scheming UN, the clandestine Council on Foreign Relations and the incredibly sorry, complicit big media.

HOW CORRUPT CAN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH BE? THIS CORRUPT:

In his article, ‘Taking Back Presidential Power,’ in The New American.com, author Charles Scaliger states, “Another clever way that the executive branch has discovered for circumventing congressional checks on funding is via Department of Justice lawsuits. This trick has been used to particular effect by the Obama administration, and it works like this: The Justice Department launches a lawsuit for perceived violations of federal regulations (bank regulations, for example) against a well-heeled target or targets, and as part of the settlement, directs large payments to be made to selected special interests — for example, anti-bank activist groups. Hundreds of millions of off-budget dollars have been funneled to a wide panoply of leftist activist groups in this way, in return for their support of Obama’s anti-business policies. Of particular notoriety is the Obama administration’s recent disposal of hundreds of millions in settlement monies from the likes of Citigroup, Bank of America, and JP Morgan, of which an appreciable amount was permitted, under Justice’s terms of settlement, to be “donated” to various activist groups that serve the Democratic Party’s interests. This money all belongs, in theory, to the Treasury, and therefore cannot be disposed of without Congress’ say-so. In fact, Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution anticipated the potential for executive monkeyshines with Treasury funds, stipulating that “no money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law; and a regular statement and account of the receipts and expenditures of all public money shall be published from time to time.” But that hasn’t stopped the Obama administration from using vast sums of extortion payments originating in legal settlements to finance many left-wing NGO (non-governmental organization) allies.”

WHAT WE MUST DO!

There’s a very simple way of identifying which elected representatives need replacing in our Idaho statehouse and in Congress in Washington. You study The Freedom Indexes for both bodies which shows exactly how they vote with criteria in keeping with the Constitution and then cull them at the voting box. Here in Idaho The Freedom Index is published by IdahoFreedomIndex.com.

For the U.S. Congress see The Freedom Index at JBS.org: A Congressional Scorecard Based on the U.S. Constitution” rates congressmen based on their adherence to constitutional principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and a traditional foreign policy of avoiding foreign entanglements. In the third index for the 114th Congress, here is how abysmally our congressmen and senators in Washington, D.C. voted with the Constitution: U.S. House 45% and U.S. Senate 32%. So there you see now why we are where we are.

Don’t count on a thing politicians say, only believe what you see and judge them on how they vote!

The terrible voting records revealed in the two The Freedom Indexes, is exactly the explanation for why we are rapidly becoming a socialistic society and our Republic is in danger of evolving into losing our national sovereignty and becoming first a member state of a regional government, the North American Union overseen by the corrupt UN, and then a world government run by unaccountable, unelected global power elitists who know what’s best for us.

LET US NOW TRY LIBERTY

From Frederic Bastiat’s ‘The Law,’ “God has given to men all that is necessary for them to accomplish their destinies. He has provided a social form as well as a human form. And these social organs of persons are so constituted that they will develop themselves harmoniously in the clean air of liberty. Away, then, with quacks and organizers! Away with their rings, chains, hooks, and pincers! Away with their artificial systems! Away with the whims of governmental administrators, their socialized projects, their centralization, their tariffs, their government schools, their state religions, their free credit, their bank monopolies, their regulations, their restrictions, their equalization by taxation, and their pious moralizations!

“And now that the legislators and do-gooders have so futilely inflicted so many systems upon society, may they finally end where they should have begun: May they reject all systems, and try liberty; for liberty is an acknowledgment of faith in God and His works.”

To which I add, it is our fault for not paying attention, letting them zealously getting away with too much playing in the candy store with no grownup supervision and not replacing them with responsible patriotic grownups.
